Hello,
Happy Thanksgiving, guys!
I really just wanted to say that.
I’m thankful to be able to spend time with family and friends today.
It wasn’t too long ago that I was struggling so much as a trader that I had no money, endless debt, was sleeping on a pull-out couch, working in a warehouse at night, and riding my bike three miles each way to get the same $2 meal every day. Most nights were filled with tears, feeling sorry for myself, and questioning it all.
During that time, I never had enough to justify a trip home for the holidays, but I still tried to put on a straight face when talking to friends and family.
It was difficult, but I got through it even though in the moment, I genuinely thought about ending it all.
If you’re going through it, try to just put one foot in front of the other. It got so bad for me that I picked up a random rock off the ground one day, and anytime I started feeling sorry for myself, I’d grab that rock and remind myself that things would eventually turn out okay.
And, they eventually did!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone
