Why I Focus on Overnight Momentum

It works. I learned this strategy from guys like Shark, Brody, Bradley, Swang, Nano, Arman, Dan G, Max, and Graham — some of the best traders I know.

It’s easy to identify. I’ve built the same filters used at SMB into three scans you can download here. All of the guys deploying this strategy use the same or very similar filters.

It makes sense. Stocks that close strong often follow through as shorts cover and liquidity thins out after hours and overnight. You want to buy strong stocks and sell weak stocks.

Asymmetric returns. A few times per quarter, setups appear where you can risk 1 to make 10–20+. Holding overnight removes the temptation to over-manage and opens you up to asymmetric upside.

Low time commitment. Twenty minutes a day from 3:40 to 4:00 pm Eastern can uncover trades with six- or seven-figure potential.

It fits how I think. I like digging into the story, positioning, dilution risk, and fundamentals.
